Introduce Yourself

Please take a second and introduce yourself to the rest of the group. Some relevant info might be where you're from, what you're currently doing with your life, how long you've been a part of i61, reading interests, favorite TV Christmas special...that sort of thing. Ready. Go.

  1. Hi! I'm Bobby. Although, I grew up in Columbus, OH I was not part of the Columbus Vineyard, but started going to the Arvada Vineyard over 5 years ago when my wife and I moved to Denver. I just started hanging around i61 in the past 6 months to see what sort of exciting things are happening.

I've been a librarian for a few years now and currently work in Northglenn. Although everyone thinks that librarian's get to read all day, alas the rumor is not true. I tend to read a lot of fiction and christian thought/theology books. I also love music, but have little to no musical ability.

Lastly and most exciting, my wife, Missi, and I are expecting our first kid. He's due to arrive around the end of January.

  2. Hey, I'm Melanie. I grew up in Michigan and moved to the Denver area 2.5 years ago and started coming to Arvada Vineyard as soon as I moved out here. Because of Bobby and his wife Missi. :) I was handed this book by Mark one Sunday...kinda by accident...by I'm looking forward to doing this book club thing online. I know quite a few of you from i61 and just generally from church.

I'm a nurse and have been for almost 7 years. I work up at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette. I love to read --always have, always will. I too, enjoy fiction books and non-fiction. Christian thought/theology books are great, I just find myself wanting to discuss what I've read so I'm not caught up in the "latest and greatest" in the Christian market.

I have a wide-ranging taste in music--this stems from being in band 5th grade through college but also just loving music in general. I also love movies, some people think I'm a mini-blockbuster. :)

  3. Hey everybody. This is Matt. Most of you know as the pc/video guy for the Vineyard A/V team. I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and came to CO in 2005. I spent that winter working at a ski resort, and moved to Denver permanently in May 2006. I started going to the Vineyard that fall.

So far I've read the first chapter. Pretty good so far. Expect my answers and thoughts later once I have time to process.

  4. Hi.

My name's Tim. I'm originally from Fort Collins, and i'm currently a student at CSM in Golden. I've been going to AV for a year and a half now, and doing i61 stuff for about a year.

I'm a big fan of music, dancing, concerts, art, engineering, math, and science. Right now, i'm kicking back, enjoying the holidays.

  5. This is Zach, yeah. I am an engineer for a local concrete company, currently working in Research and Development. I test new and existing products to optimize their use. I might be moving into a new side of the company soon, but that has been in limbo for about a month, so we won't discuss that.

I have been attending the AV for 5 years now. I started in my Freshman year of college at the Colorado School of Mines. I studied Civil Engineering, so when it really comes down to it, writing isn't one of my strong points.

So you all know, I like being outside and doing things. I like heavy music, though I don't mind most genres. And from what I have read so far, I think this book is going to be awesome.

  6. Hi...I'm Leann. I grew up in Grand Junction, CO and moved to the Front Range in 2001 to attend CU. I have been at the AV for about about a year and a half.

I also worked in a library in a past life, but I have been working as a CPA for the last few years. I know slightly more than the average person about taxes and do audits of commercial companies, non-profits, and 401k's instead. Like Zach, writing is not amongst my strengths so I decided to be an accountant...how naive I was.

I love music and have been dying to buy a drum set. I also love being outdoors and would really like to get back into climbing and kayaking. I'm in the market for a new partner...anyone? In reality, I spend most of my free time fixing and maintaining my house...which also explains why I can't afford a drum set :)
